Online Marketing vs. Traditional Marketing

Online marketing consists of web based advertising strategies that help a company reach a certain audience. The difference in online marketing vs. traditional marketing come from the level of feedback the consumer is willing to give. The more information the user provides, the more information the websites have to calculate a brand or product you might be interested in. Search engine optimization is an algorithmic equation Google uses on searched words to help gather the closest data possible. This equation is important to websites because it helps bring more traffic their way. Online marketing can spread from multiple platforms via satellite radio, videos, tweets, and posts that appear on the sidebars of many websites. Traditional marketing is limited to not having an instant effect for the target market. Traditional marketing lacks from viewing repetition, If you type Red shirt on Google shop, more than likely that same Red Shirt will continuously pop up on other websites and brands like it will too. Where as mediums such as the television can only present one advertisement at a time.
